Serendipity…
After about the fifth snowstorm in three weeks on a morning when the thermometer had yet to reach zero degrees, I was detoured on my way to work. I took the longer route via back roads rather than the highway. This got me to work just in time to get stuck behind an 18 wheeler that couldn’t quite maneuver around the snowbanks. He was good and stuck. As I sat there, I looked out the car window through a break in a bank of hedges and saw a little flock of bluebirds huddled together in the sun. : )
Formerly the neighbor’s cat
With quiet persistence she would steal away from the noise, from the clutter, to a place of sweet serenity.
The steady, rhythmic sound of her contentment complimenting the stillness

Happiness is…. making new (feathered) friends!
Every time I look out my window I find something new, just never bluebirds. Thanks

Awww! Isn’t that the way~ a moment of grace tucked into a moment of frustration.

I’ve come to a place in life where I almost look forward to such interruptions, knowing that they might lead to something I would not have experienced otherwise.

Exactly! I had the sense that that was what you were conveying in your post. I’ve come to that as well.
