Welcome to Forest Edge Studio. Thanks for stopping by!
I started keeping this journal with the hope that it will provide motivation to get back to work in the studio. Years ago I belonged to several art galleries, which provided an outlet for my work, and I sold a number of paintings. After moving to the small New England farm where I now reside with my husband, I left the galleries. The time commitment that was required to be a member proved to be too much to handle in addition to a full time job, a part time pet-sitting business, and the time (well spent) that it took to care for my growing menagerie. I started painting equine portraits to fulfill my need to create. Although I enjoy horse and pet portraiture, I really miss creating wildlife art.
I’m very fortunate to live in a beautiful place, surrounded by woodland parks, meadows, rivers, marshes and forests. I spend as much time as possible out in the woods, taking reference photos and just getting lost in the beauty of the wilderness. It’s time to get to work and put those photos to good use. Hopefully I can succeed in capturing some of the beauty that makes up my world.
